mgr inż. Karol Czesak

A research and teaching assistant in the Department of Mechanics and Vibroacoustics at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics. He graduated with distinction in Acoustic Engineering, specializing in Sound Engineering in Media and Culture, defending his master’s thesis titled ” An evaluation of compression parameters’ influence on subjective loudness of musical instrument recording.” He is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in technical sciences, based on his dissertation titled ” Measurement Analysis of Distributed ModeLoudspeakers to Improve Their Sound Properties.”

His interests focus on adapting the sound properties of audio systems to room acoustics using signal processors, as well as low-latency transmission of audio signals in telecommunication networks. He also works on acoustic adaptation of small rooms and live sound engineering, with a particular emphasis on mixes sent to performers’ monitoring systems. He is actively involved in the Gospel Nad Rabą association, handling the technical and logistical aspects of its projects. Hobbies: broadly defined rock music, analog sound formats, vintage audio equipment, and the history of countercultural and queer movements.
