prof. dr hab. inż. Piotr Kleczkowski

He received an M.Sc. degree in electronics from the  AGH University. He received his Ph. D. and D. Sc. degrees from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics at the same University. He was awarded the title of professor in technological sciences in 2015. He was a visiting researcher in the United Kingdom and Germany, and a visiting professor at Cranfield University in the UK.
His research interests included: sound synthesis, design of analog-to-digital converters, time-frequency signal processing, perception of sound, audio engineering – advanced methods of mixing of soundtracks and spatial audio; more recently also environmental protection, especially air pollution.
In the 90’s, he managed his own firm that developed and manufactured one of the first quality audio interfaces for PC computers in the world, which found widespread use in Polish broadcast and recording studios. 
He wrote six monographs in the areas of signal processing, auditory perception and environmental protection (one co-authored with his wife). He was a co-founder of the programs in Acoustical Engineering (both undergraduate and graduate) in the AGH University and supervised their development. He has supervised five PhD students to completion and currently supervises other six.
He is a member of the Audio Engineering Society where he has been holding several positions. He is an expert of the Research Executive Agency of the European Commission. He is a member of the Climate Council of the United Nations Global Compact Network Poland and the Council for EkoMalopolska. He served as a member of the City Council in Cracow.
