Seminarium 03.11.2025, godz. 11.30
Szanowni Państwo,
uprzejmie informuję, że najbliższe seminarium Katedry Mechaniki i Wibroakustyki odbędzie się w dniu 3 listopada 2025 r. o godz. 11:30 w s. 103 w bud. D-1.
W tym dniu Pani mgr inż. Giorgia Capobianchi (PhD student, Fluid Dynamics Laboratory, Department of Civil Computer Science and Aeronautical Technologies Engineering, Roma Tre University, Under the supervision of Professor Alessandro Di Marco and the supervision of Dorota Młynarczyk PhD from AGH University of Krakow) wygłosi referat pt.
„Acoustics characteristic of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle„.
Streszczenie referatu / Abstract of the paper:
The presentation will discuss the results of acoustic tests on a setup replicating the configuration and functioning of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) drone, conducted in July 2025 in an anechoic chamber at the AGH University of Science and Technology. The tests involved recording acoustic signals using a 16-microphone system from 36 UAV configurations: 12 different propellers in three different configurations and simulating different flight manoeuvres under several environmental wind conditions, with and without gust. To determine the rotational speed for each motor during the various simulated maneuvers, the „Quadcopter Drone Model in Simscape” MATLAB toolbox was preliminary used. The presentation will also include analyses of acoustic and psychoacoustic parameters, including Equivalent Sound Level, Loudness, Roughness, Sharpness, Tonality, Fluctuation Strength and Psychoacoustic Annoyance. These analyses helped identify which configurations, among more than 700 tested, should be further examined in psychoacoustic listening tests, which are now in preparation. In the next stages of work the results of the acoustic and psychoacoustic analyses will be used to optimize the shape and configuration of the propellers to achieve the best aerodynamic performance with the least noise nuisance.
The research was carried out during a research internship as part of the preparation of the doctoral thesis „Aerodynamics, Aeroacoustics and Psychoacoustics of Distributed Propulsion Multiple System”. The author, Giorgia Capobianchi, is a PhD student at the Fluid Dynamics Laboratory, Department of Civil, Computer Science and Aeronautical Technologies Engineering, Roma Tre University, under the supervision of Professor Alessandro Di Marco.
The aim of this doctoral research is to experimentally deepen the understanding of the complex flow physics resulting from the interaction between propeller systems in different installation configurations, correlating it with the acoustic field near the sources. An integral part of the study is the perceptual evaluation of humans, with particular attention to the psychology of perception.
